Idaho is in the central time zone

Here's something I notices a few years back, and I might have mentioned it before. Idaho is in the Pacific and Mountain time zones, right?

Nope. It's in the pacific and central time zones, due to a mistake in federal law.

Check out the law and tell me if you think I am right.

Certainly appears that way. I can't seem to find an ammendment to it either. Thomas has the full US Code and my (admittedly limited) searcing turns up nothing that corrects it. Interesting. Perhaps you should e-mail someone and tell them they got it wrong. :)

It's been this way for forty years

I did a little research. The House version of the US Code has a history of the amendments. Back in 1966, they added the Atlantic time zone as the first time zone, and pushed all the other time zones up a number.

So Idaho has been messed up for forty years.
